Sized for every feed
Social apps crop anything that is not their native shape. Pick the platform and the chart re-flows its title, labels and legend to fit, instead of being squashed or cropped.
Not sure which to pick? The Instagram infographic guide explains the 4:5 vs 3:4 question and where the story buttons cover your chart.
| Format | Pixels | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram post 4:5 | 1080×1350 | Feed & carousels |
| Instagram 3:4 | 1080×1440 | Matches the profile grid |
| Square 1:1 | 1080×1080 | Threads, Facebook, carousels |
| Story / Reel 9:16 | 1080×1920 | Stories, Reels, TikTok, Shorts |

Beautiful charts, honest by default
A chart for a feed has about a second to land. ChartBeauty makes the choices a data designer would make so you don’t have to think about them:
- Labels on the data. Percentages sit on slices, values at the end of bars, the latest value tagged on lines. No squinting at axes on a phone.
- Bars and areas start at zero. No accidentally exaggerated differences.
- Colour-blind-safe palettes such as Okabe–Ito and Tol bright, one tap away. Compare them in the palette library.
- Alt text written for you, ready to paste into Instagram’s or LinkedIn’s accessibility field.
Got notes, not numbers?
Paste a paragraph, a caption draft or a messy list of results into the AI chart generator. It picks a suitable chart type, pulls out the numbers, writes a takeaway title and a caption, then loads everything into the studio for you to check and export.
Questions
Is ChartBeauty free?
Yes. Every chart type, every export size, PNG and SVG downloads and the brand kit are free, with no account and no watermark.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Charts are drawn in your browser and your inputs are saved only in this browser’s local storage. The one exception is the AI chart generator: text you choose to send there is processed to build the chart and is not stored by us.
What size should a chart be for Instagram?
Use 1080×1350 (4:5) for feed posts and carousels, 1080×1440 (3:4) if you want the full image to show on your profile grid, and 1080×1920 (9:16) for stories and Reels. All three are in the export size menu.
Can I use my own colours and fonts?
You can set up to five custom colours and choose from three headline fonts. Click “Save as my brand kit” and they load automatically on every chart type next time.
How is this different from Canva or Excel?
ChartBeauty only does charts, so there is nothing to lay out: type numbers, pick a size, download. Charts follow data-visualisation rules by default (bars start at zero, labels sit on the data, colour-blind-safe palettes are one click away).
Can I edit the chart afterwards?
Your last chart of each type is remembered in this browser. For deeper edits, download the SVG and open it in Figma, Illustrator, Affinity or Keynote.
